Hooray for Harborfields

The district is proud to report that Harborfields High School has been awarded a gold medal in the U.S. News & World Report’s Best High Schools competition. This prestigious contest evaluates schools based upon college readiness, participation in Advanced Placement courses and state proficiency standards. Based on these criteria, Harborfields has been recognized as being among the finest educational institutions in the country.  
This recognition has earned Harborfields High School a second-place ranking in Suffolk County, a designation of 7th on Long Island and a ranking of 151 out of the 22,000 high schools in the nation.
Harborfields High School was also recognized recently by the Washington Post as being one of America’s Most Challenging High Schools in the nation. The list includes more than 1,900 public high schools ranked nationwide and fluctuates as additional schools are ranked. Harborfields is currently listed second in Suffolk County, 11th on Long Island, 24th in New York State and 304th in the nation.
