Members of Harborfields High School’s mindfulness club did their best to alleviate the stresses of midterm week on Jan.17.

In preparation of midterms, the students set up shop outside of the high school’s Wall of Scholars and offered free tea to any interested students. High School social worker Susan Koenig laughed, noting that the students had a hard time choosing a flavor. The wide assortment, which was donated by Twinings Tea and some by Principal Timothy Russo, included, black, green, peppermint, fruit, herbal and, the most popular, buttermint teas. “We had a lot of kids try tea for the first time,” Ms. Koenig said.

The tea served as a reminder to students to take care of themselves, when under stress, with small acts of self-care.
