Washington Drive students in Maria Paros' and Melissa Moccaldi's classes recently read "Strictly No Elephants" by Lisa Mantchev. Students discussed its message of being inclusive and helping others and wrote book reviews about it.

The book is one of 14 portrayed on the school's recently completed mural, which serves as a gateway for greater in-class discussions on topics such as empathy, compassion, kindness and diversity.

They had a lot of fun reviewing the book and similarly to others, students saw the elephant in the mural and took a picture in front of the mural. "The students are loving that something we taught them is in the hallway," Ms. Paros said.
