OMS Students Recognize Board of Education

Prior to the start of the October 13 Business Meeting, the Harborfields Central School District’s Board of Education was recognized as part of New York State’s School Board Recognition Week. Each year, a different school within the district hosts the ceremony to thank the trustees for their time and dedication to the students of Harborfields. This year, students at Oldfield Middle School (OMS) shared their words of thanks.
During the ceremony, which was organized by the OMS PTA, members of the school’s Student Government presented the Board with a beautiful silver pitcher, to use and display at each meeting. The students said, “Thank you for changing this building from a school into a home.” In addition, OMS parent Lisa McCaffrey, along with daughter Jaime, presented the Board with a beautiful cake, made to resemble OMS.
Thank you to all members of the Board of Education for all they do on behalf of the district.
