On April 26, approximately 130 students from all schools throughout the district took part in an anti-bullying flash mob at the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City. For more than a month, interested students learned the choreography and rehearsed the dance, all in an effort to send an anti-bullying message to their peers and community. Students donned colorful T-shirts with the slogan “Stand Up” during their performance, which drew much applause from museumgoers at the Cradle of Aviation.

According to sixth-grade student Kristen Mahoney, “I wanted to participate because I thought it would be fun and send a good message that no one should be a bully.” Fourth-grader Marina Ronzoni added, “It’s really nice what we’re all doing, and standing up to bullying is a great cause.”
