In the 2015 New York State Niche Ranking, Oldfield Middle School received an overall A+ and ranked No. 39 among 1,226 public middle schools in New York State. In addition, the school ranked No. 42 for best academics and No. 55 for best elementary teachers in the state.

According to Niche, 19,710 middle schools nationwide were ranked based on key student statistics and 4.6 million opinions from 280,000 students and parents. A high Niche ranking indicates that the school is an exceptional academic institution in terms of teachers, students, resources for learning, student happiness in their learning, and student outcomes. In addition, a high ranking indicates that the school is made up of a diverse population and fosters an accepting, positive school culture.

“We are proud and honored to receive this high ranking,” said Principal Joanne Giordano. "With the support of our faculty and the community, we continue to create opportunities and academically challenge our students to prepare them for their years in high school and beyond."
