The district is proud to announce that Harborfields High School seniors Bryan-ardo Leveque and Georgia Viggiano were presented with the 2015 New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance Suffolk Zone Award at a special reception held at the Hyatt Regency in Hauppauge on Dec. 2.
The annual Suffolk Zone award is a prestigious honor for students to receive. Students must possess an overall “A” average in physical education achievement, be scholastically sound, exhibit leadership skills and qualities in a physical education setting and have demonstrated overall leadership in school-wide activities. Additionally, students nominated for this honor must be outstanding role models to their peers and within the community.
In attendance for this special recognition were the parents of both seniors, high school physical educators Dennis Harmon, Rob Franco and Suzanne Legge, Harborfields Director of Health, Physical Education and Athletics John Valente and high school Principal Dr. Rory Manning.

“These students were nominated by their high school physical education teachers for the exemplary leadership, character and enthusiasm that they bring to the high school physical education program,” said Valente.
