Students in Alison Matthews’ Career Awareness Classes at Harborfields High School recently completed the “[email protected]: Talking Safety” program sponsored by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.

According to the “[email protected]: Talking Safety” curriculum booklet, the program aims to teach core health and safety skills and knowledge, covering basic information relevant to any occupation, at any stage of work life. The learning activities in the curriculum raise awareness among young people about workplace safety and health. Students gain the career readiness skills they need to become active participants in creating safe and healthy work environments, now and throughout their lives.

At the conclusion of the program, Matthews presented each student with a certificate of completion.
