District Welcomes New HS Assistant Principal


During its June 2 special business meeting, the Board of Education appointed Christopher Patronaggio to the position of Harborfields High School assistant principal, effective Aug. 1. Patronaggio will be replacing Timothy Russo who will be filling the position of principal.

Patronaggio brings to his new role knowledge and experience in education and administrative leadership. He began his career as a mathematics teacher at Bellport High School in the South Country Central School District. While in the district, he served as a high school assistant principal intern and assistant superintendent for business intern. In 2015, he assumed the role of administrative dean at Walt Whitman High School in the South Huntington Union Free School District.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics with a concentration in adolescent education, followed by his Master of Arts in adolescent special education from St. Joseph’s College. In 2013, he received his certificate of advanced studies in educational leadership from the College of Saint Rose.
