Students Learn to Be Mindful
Students at Washington Drive Primary School and Thomas J. Lahey Elementary school recently learned about mindfulness under the guidance of Dr. Jason Teague and Dr. Lauren Gallagher. They have entered the classrooms to help students pay close attention to what is happening in the present moment.

Mindfulness can help us calm down when we are experiencing a challenging emotion such as anger, sadness, or frustration. It can also help improve focus and concentration, which is necessary not only for school, but for countless other activities such as music, sports and art.

The students in Mrs. Lemieux’s class have enjoyed being exposed to mindfulness and are learning how to incorporate it into their daily routines.
