Harborfields High School music students have fully embraced the holiday season with recent performances all around the community.

More than three dozen Tri-M Music Honor Society members recently gathered at the Centerport Fire Department to sing carols with music teacher Jessica Lowenhar.

“It’s a terrific event that brings the community together,” said Lowenhar. "It’s our pleasure to be here.”

The Harborfields High School Jazz Band also showed their holiday pride with a recent performance at the Harborfields Public Library for the annual Greenlawn Tree Lighting Ceremony. Under the direction of Music Department Coordinator Dan Bilawsky, band members performed for the large crowd and Lowenhar accompanied them by singing.

“Harborfields is truly a special place,” said Bilawsky. “This event is a fine demonstration of that.”
