At the district’s May Board of Education meeting, Washington Drive second-grader Noah Bradford was recognized for winning the nationwide Zaner-Bloser National Handwriting Contest! This contest awards students, kindergarten through eighth grade, with outstanding print and cursive skills. Noah is one of nine winners chosen from over 280,000 student applicants.

Noah received a $500 check, a medal, a trophy and a $1,000 coupon for the school to purchase Zaner-Bloser school supplies.

Additionally, the Tornado News Team was recognized for all of their hard work, and bringing forth the district’s best to the surrounding community.
