Dear Harborfields’ Community,

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Rory Manning has been appointed Principal of Harborfields High School.  Dr. Manning will officially begin on July 16, 2012.  

Dr. Manning comes to Harborfields from the Sachem Central School District, where he served as Principal of Sachem High School East.  Dr. Manning also served as Sachem High School East’s Assistant Principal and the district’s Director of the Community Education Program.  Previously, he was the Science Department Chairperson and classroom teacher at Division Avenue High School in Levittown.

Dr. Manning attended S.U.N.Y at Stony Brook, where he earned a B.S. degree in Biochemistry.  His M.S. degree in Human Nutrition was conferred by the University of New Haven.  Dr. Manning continued his administrative studies at S.U.N.Y at Stony Brook where he earned a degree in School District Administration. His doctorate in Educational Administration and Supervision was conferred by St. John’s University.
