The proposed Governor's Budget which was posted on Tuesday, January 19th indicates that Harborfields Central School District is eligible to receive funding to support the participation of 64 students in the 2010-2011 Universal Pre-Kindergarten program. The Universal Pre-Kindergarten program is funded by a New York State grant, not district funds.
Based on the Governor's Budget proposal for the 2010-2011 school year, an initial parent orientation meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, March 4th at 7:00 p.m. at Washington Drive Primary School. The Universal Pre-Kindergarten program application form, which can be downloaded from the website, will need to be completed and submitted by Friday, April 16. Applications received after this date will be placed on a waiting list. The placement of students in the program is based on a random lottery which will be held at the end of May.
