In lieu of traditional holiday activities, Harborfields students at Washington Drive Primary School recently kicked off the season with a “Winter Wonderland Holiday Book Walk.”

As students walked through the school’s decorated hallways, they were greeted by Principal Kathryn McNally dressed as Frosty the Snowman. Teachers read poster-sized pages of the book, “Snowmen at Work,” by Caralyn and Mark Buehner, that were displayed amongst a mix of blow-up snowmen, paper snowflakes, streamers and balloons. Hallways were also decorated with an array of student-made art projects, displaying family photos of cherished holiday traditions.
