Lily Finn, a student at Washington Drive Primary School in the Harborfields School District, was recently announced as the ADL New York/New Jersey Cynthia Marks Student Legacy Award. This award recognizes a student who has exhibited extraordinary leadership in the effort to make their school No Place for Hate®.

“Lily makes everyone who steps in her path feel special and welcomed and always reminds us to celebrate our differences,” Principal Kathy McNally said. “Lily spearheaded a campaign to spread awareness about Down syndrome and created a video that was shared with students in our primary and elementary schools educating them about trisomy 21. Lily may look small, but her impact in our schools and community has been unmeasurable!”

In recognition of her efforts, Lily will receive a plaque and a $500.00 check.
