WordMasters Challenge

A team of 12 fourth-grade Thomas J. Lahey Elementary School students recently competed in the annual WordMasters Challenge, a national vocabulary competition for students in grades 3-8 that encourages growth in vocabulary and verbal reasoning.

With their combined efforts, the district’s fourth-graders scored an impressive 188 out of a possible 200 points in the first of three meets this year, earning them the fourth-place national title.
