During the weekend of November 9th, more than 140 Harborfields High School music students traveled to Disney World to perform and take part in different workshops. The vocal ensemble, under the direction of Ms. Clare Jackson, sang for large crowds at Disney Springs. The marching band and kick line, under the leadership of Ms. Allison Scilla, along with with Mr. Joseph Hinton Mr. Dan Bilawsky, and Mrs. Jaclyn Best, paraded through the streets of the Magic Kingdom. Additionally, the kickline took part in a choreography and dance workshop while the band and vocal ensemble each attended sessions covering rehearsing, sight reading, real-world practicalities and film scoring.

“Student travel and life experiences beyond the classroom are an essential part of what we try to teach,” noted Ms. Scilla, who coordinated and oversaw the entire trip. “We’re so proud of our students and what they learned and accomplished during our whirlwind days in Disney.”
