The district is pleased to announce that Harborfields High School has received a 2016 National Blue Ribbon Award nomination. This is the first year since 2002 that high schools have been included in the nomination process.

“I am extremely proud of Harborfields High School’s students, faculty, staff and administrators for earning such a prestigious nomination,” said Superintendent of Schools Diana Todaro. “The Harborfields Central School District community knows what a unique educational experience is offered at our high school and this nomination is a testament to the hard work of all of those involved.”

The district will be continuing in the application process for the National Blue Ribbon award as one of the 19 schools nominated by the New York State Department of Education. The 2016 National Blue Ribbon Schools will be announced in September.

Oldfield Middle School was named a National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education in 2011 and Thomas J. Lahey Elementary School received the honor in 1996.
