National Junior Honor Society

Welcome to the NJHS Information Center!

The National Junior Honor Society seeks to encourage the development of middle school students. The society works:

•    To create enthusiasm for Scholarship
•    To stimulate a desire to render Service
•    To promote Leadership
•    To develop Character
•    To encourage Citizenship

The following is intended to help inform the community of our activities, our requirements for membership, downloadable forms, answer frequent questions, publish chapter By-Laws, and provide links to helpful sites that are in cooperation with the chapter.

By-Laws: These are the laws that govern our local chapter. Each year the By-Laws are reviewed and amended.
Executive Board Member Expectations: Similar to student government, there are many positions and opportunities for students to develop leadership skills in the NJHS.
General Member Expectations: These are the general expectations for all members of the NJHS once they are inducted.

Eligibility Requirements (Induction Paperwork): This is the form that has all the information on it. It is VERY important to read this carefully. This is the form used to evaluate if you have met all the criteria for membership.
School Activities List: A list of all school clubs in which a student may be involved
Sample Letter of Intent / Letter of Candidacy: All students invited to apply for the NJHS should have this filled out when they arrive at the initial meeting.
