Ancient Greek Gods and Goddesses moved in to Jennifer Klein’s class at Oldfield Middle School on March 11-12. Sixth grade social studies students presented their “Camp Half-Blood Cabin” projects to their in-person and virtual classmates, showcasing their knowledge of the ancient civilization’s belief system.

In the scenario for this project, Zeus, the King of the Gods, decided that the Olympian gods would finally be able to visit their demi-god children at “Camp Half-Blood,” having previously denied them this visitation in the novel “The Lightning Thief” by Rick Riordan. Students recently read the novel in their language arts classes.

The students then dressed in Ancient Greek garb to present information on god and goddesses ranging from Poseidon, Hades, Hera Apollo and more.
