TJL students shine in WordMasters Challenge

Two teams representing Thomas J. Lahey Elementary School recently earned Highest Honors in the 2020-2021 WordMasters Challenge, a national vocabulary competition involving nearly 125,000 students annually. The fifth grade team scored an impressive 183 points out of a possible 200 in the last of three meets this year, placing fifth in the nation. Additionally, the fourth grade team scored 175 points in the recent meet to place sixth nationwide. The fifth graders also placed third nationally in the overall competition with a cumulative score of 542 points out of a possible 600, and the fourth grade team captured fourth place with a cumulative score of 556 points.
