The Harborfields High School chapter of the Tri-M Music Honor Society held its annual induction ceremony on Oct. 3. During this event, 14 new members and nine continuing members were recognized and honored.

The new inductees are Sydney Bayer, Brooke Cheskes, McKenzie Coleman, Aidan Doctor, Anna Duff, Jackson Ferrara, Megan Happel, Peter Hoss, Kyle Johnson, Kate Lysaght, Ivie-Ann Mergille, Gabriella Messing, Ethan Rosenthal and Camryn Taylor.

The list of continuing members includes Breckyn Beechey, Alexa Best, Athena Braverman, Orla Cummaford-Roberts, Alexandra Ebanks, Christopher Hummel, Kamden Johansen, Lindsay Sung and Owen Walter.

The Tri-M Executive Board conducted this wonderful ceremony; several distinguished attendees – Harborfields High School Principal Dr. Marie Netto and Assistant Principal Brian Suckle, and guest speaker Vickie Henson – were given honorary membership into the organization. Two musical interludes highlighting some of Harborfields’ All-State musicians – a string duo featuring Breckyn Beechey and Christopher Hummel, and a jazz combo performance from Alexa Best, Peter Hoss, Kamden Johansen, Ethan Rosenthal and faculty member Greg Antonelli – showcased the outstanding musicianship within the ranks.

“This induction ceremony – one of the first events on our music calendar each year – is always a pleasure to put together,” Tri-M adviser Allison Scilla said. “We are able to recognize these students by celebrating their previous accomplishments while looking forward with excitement and anticipation at what awaits them this school year.”
