Over the course of three days in the school’s makerspace, sixth graders in Dr. Monica Zenyuh’s science classes at Oldfield Middle School explored Newton’s first law of motion and friction as they tested how the height of a ramp affects the distance that Hot Wheels cars travel. The students compared these results to how far monster trucks would travel to see how increasing mass could impact their results.
