TJL Fourth Graders Create Interactive Museum in Makerspace thumbnail243002

Fourth graders at Thomas J. Lahey Elementary School in the Harborfields Central School District recently visited the school’s makerspace to use technology to make their Iroquois longhouse projects interactive. They used Hatch to code facts about the Iroquois, then connected Makey Makey microcontrollers to their projects so that their facts appeared when the buttons on their projects were pressed.

“The students enjoyed visiting the interactive museum they created,” teacher Linda Scarth said.
