Harborfields High School’s AP Italian class and Italian Honor Society visited the Babylon Mercantile culinary shop on March 7 to experience authentic Italian culture here in New York by immersing themselves in the art of cooking Italian pasta. Following the instructions of the chef, students used their cooking skills to make a delicious lunch consisting of cavatelli al pomodoro e basilico followed by cannoli for dessert.
“Thanks to the wonderful Italian program that we have here at Harborfields, students had an incredible experience that will continue to fuel their love for the Italian language and culture,” teacher AnneMarie Romeo said.
