Washington Drive Primary School in the Harborfields Central School District celebrated the end of the Lunar New Year with a special parade through the school’s halls on Feb. 3. Prior to the event, Washington Drive’s English as a New Language kindergarten classes had learned all about the cultural traditions and vocabulary related to the Lunar New Year.
“The children were very excited to create beautiful lanterns, crowns, red envelopes and even dragons,” teacher Allyse Choi said.
