Following their selection for the New York State School Music Association’s All-State programs earlier this school year, three Harborfields High School students were chosen to join the National Association for Music Education’s All-Eastern ensembles. These extremely select groups highlight and pull from the best of the best from approximately 12 different states. Senior Breckyn Beechey (cello, orchestra), junior Peter Hoss (tenor saxophone, jazz band) and senior Chris Hummel (violin, orchestra) will have the opportunity to rehearse and perform with their peers from across the region when they gather together in Rochester in April.
“We’re so proud of these students,” K-12 Music Department Coordinator Dan Bilawsky said. “They’ve worked incredibly hard throughout their time in Harborfields and have most certainly earned this tremendous recognition and honor.”
