Students in the LEAP program at TJL utilized the “SuperPowered” FIRST Lego League curriculum to learn about robotics and renewable energy. Through the building of mission models, students were introduced to some of the energy challenges the world is currently facing. They worked in small groups to design and code robots to complete the missions. They also chose an energy problem to research in depth and create an innovative solution to deal with that problem. The students created displays and models to share their research and solutions. Parents were invited to a robotics festival on April 25 to view and celebrate all of their hard work.
