Harborfields Welcomes Two New Administrators for the Upcoming School Year

The Harborfields Central School District is pleased to announce the appointments of two new administrators who will join the leadership team for the 2025-2026 school year. Mr. Milton Josephs has been named Executive Director of Human Resources, and Mrs. Jennifer Maichin has been appointed Assistant Principal of Harborfields High School, effective July 1, 2025. Both bring expansive knowledge and experience and a shared committment to student support and success!
Mr. Josephs brings a strong background in both corporate and educational human resources, currently serving as Program Coordinator for Human Resources at Nassau BOCES. Mr. Josephs is known for his leadership in strategic staffing, professional development, and the integration of technology to improve efficiency. He has also served as an assistant director of special education, assistant principal, and special education teacher. With certifications in School Building and School District Leadership, Mr. Josephs is eager to support the Harborfields staff and foster a culture where every employee feels valued.
Mrs. Maichin brings a wealth of experience from her time at Mineola Public Schools, where she served as a special education teacher, instructional leader, program developer, and assistant principal. Mrs. Maichin also teaches in Long Island University’s Educational Technology graduate program. Known for her innovative, student-centered approach, she is passionate about inclusive practices and empowering educators to help every learner thrive. Her background is supported by leadership certifications and advanced degrees in elementary and special education.
