HHS Students Are Making an Impact

In early December, eleven Harborfields High School students were sworn in by Huntington Town Board members Sal Ferro, Theresa Mari, and Dave Bennardo as the newest members of the Huntington Youth Court, sponsored by the Huntington Youth Bureau.
Congratulations to the following students: Riley Burns, Yoselin Benitez Almendares, Kelvin Semmes, Porter Coleman, Taylor Hand, George D’Arensbourg-Wu, Ryan Hernandez, Benjamin Guddemi, Brayden Perry, Ava Spardel, and Sohum Vaish.
The student volunteers have undergone six weeks of training, learning the roles of judge, jury, advocate, and bailiff, and even completing a “bar exam.” Now that they are sworn in, they are ready and able to step into these roles during real cases involving youth respondents within the community. These students truly embody dedication, leadership, and commitment to serving others in a meaningful way.
