Literacy, Leadership, and a Little Fun!

Harborfields High School students in the Business & Entrepreneurship CTE pathway recently brought literacy, leadership, and a little fun to Washington Drive Primary School during a special visit centered on giving back.
Through a partnership with Chick-fil-A's Leader Academy, the high school business students helped bring the organization's One Million Book Giveaway to life. Washington Drive students were invited to share their favorite books and, in return, received gift bags filled with new books generously provided by Chick-fil-, along with handwritten notes from the high school students. The excitement continued when a surprise guest made an appearance: the beloved Chick-fil-A cow!
This collaboration is part of an ongoing partnership between Harborfields High School's Business and Entrepreneurship CTE program and our local Chick-fil-A Leader Academy at the Huntington Chick-fil-A, which includes events and activities throughout the school year that focus on leadership development, service, and community engagement.
Over the past decade, Chick-fil-A Leader Academy has grown to serve more than 200,000 students across over 2,300 schools in 45 states, making a lasting impact in communities nationwide. The One Million Book Giveaway initiative alone aims to donate one million books each year, helping inspire a love of reading in students of all ages.
