Harborfields Night with the Ducks is a Grand Slam!

On Friday, May 1, five of the district’s talented performing groups stepped off school buses and onto the field of Fairfield Properties ballpark in Central Islip for Harborfields Night with the Ducks. The event drew an impressive crowd, with 740 tickets sold in support of the evening.
The night began with high energy as Oldfield Middle School’s 7th/8th grade Band (Mr. Bilawsky), Harborfield High School’s Marching Band (Ms. Scilla), and the Kickline (Ms. Best) delivered a spirited performance of the Harborfields Fight Song, along with a selection of additional pieces. The stadium may have been filled with Ducks fans, but after their performance it was all about the Harborfields pride.
As game time approached, the Oldfield Middle School Chorus and Harborfields High School Vocal Ensemble came together on the field for a combined performance of the “Star-Spangled Banner.”
Following their performances, students rejoined family and friends in the stands to enjoy the game and celebrate a memorable night.
Special thanks to Ms. Scilla, Mr. Bilawsky, Mrs. Lowenhar, Ms. Kassinger, Ms. Sullivan, and Ms. Best for stepping up to the plate and helping make the night a success.
