In-House Music Festival is an Adventure into Music!

On Friday, May 15, the fifth and sixth grade performing ensembles which include: fifth grade orchestra, fifth grade band, fifth grade chorus, sixth grade orchestra, sixth grade band, and sixth grade chorus, came together for the Harborfields Music Festival, a cross-building music department event.
Each of the six ensembles participated in dedicated 30-minute workshops led by our talented music staff. Students also had the unique opportunity to work with guest clinicians Joe Rutkowski (Orchestra), Tom Gellert (Band), and Dana Warren (Chorus), sharpening their skills and gaining invaluable musical insight along the way.
After the workshops, students enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon at Adventureland.
“More than 200 students, six performing ensembles, three amazing guest clinicians, two schools, one unforgettable day — Adventureland was more than a trip; it was a celebration of teamwork, musicianship, and the power of music education,” said Mr. Nick Rinaldi, orchestra teacher and trip coordinator. “It was wonderful to celebrate the hard work of our 5th and 6th-grade musicians and have them learn from such inspiring guest educators.”
Thank you to Mr. Rinaldi for coordinating this special event and all the music teachers for their participation and guidance.
