Harborfields High School senior Sedona Vegna received an Award of Merit in Dance from the Long Island Arts Alliance. This special recognition honors her achievement in dance, as well as her commitment to academics and the arts!

In its 20th year, the Long Island Arts Alliance, in partnership with local arts administrators, the New York Community Bank Foundation and Newsday, recognizes students who excel at the highest level in the arts. Only eight students Island-wide received a scholar artist award in dance, making this a truly special accomplishment. Keep an eye out for a special feature in Newsday celebrating Sedona and the other award recipients in June 2027!
