An Incredible Evening - Black History Month Celebration
This year's Black History Month celebration, “34 Years of Black Commemoration,” inspired and uplifted through talented student performances representing all four school buildings. I was so proud that the high school auditorium was at near capacity as we came together for an evening filled with celebration.
We were also proud to honor retiring OMS teacher and keynote speaker for the evening, Mr. Jeff Shade, for his 32 years of dedicated service and commitment to the Black History Celebration Committee and to the Harborfields community. Tribute speakers shared heartfelt reflections on his lasting impact, and Mr. Shade’s keynote speech highlighted the importance of history, legacy, and opportunity.
It was truly a meaningful night that would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of the Black History Celebration committee. Thank you for making this night truly remarkable!
