Harborfields High School recently announced the Class of 2024’s valedictorian, Tara Gosselin, and the salutatorian, Brooke Cheskes.

Gosselin, a National Honor Society member, possesses a unique combination of qualities that make her stand out as an exceptional student and leader. She has served as the class president for four consecutive years, demonstrating her ability to lead and inspire her peers. Her active involvement in the Interact Club, Women Empowerment Club and Key Club has not only contributed to her own personal growth but has also had a positive impact on her school community through her organization of community service initiatives.

Cheskes is a three-sport athlete, Girl Scout, musician and a member of National Honor Society, Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Stand Up Strong, Athletes Helping Athletes, Interact Club and the school’s marching band. She earned NYSCAME All-County status for her performance on clarinet. Cheskes has been recognized for mnumerous academic achievements and strives to be an active member of the Harborfields community.

“I am incredibly honored and excited to be named this year’s valedictorian, and I’m so thankful for my family, teachers and counselors who have encouraged me along the way,” Gosselin said.

“I’m honored and grateful to receive this distinction,” Cheskes said. “It wouldn’t have been possible without the support from my teachers, classmates and family.”
