Today is Monday, February 6, 2012. It is a "B" day.
During 7th and 8th Gr. Recess the other day, the National Junior Honor Society provided important information about the application process.......please see Ms. Ahrens and Ms. Hudson if you missed the meeting and need the information.
The OMS PTA 6th Grade Spaghetti Dinner is Friday, March 16. Please send in your reservation forms, wait staff applications, and $10 BASKET DONATION by Friday, February 10th. to the Main Office. Forms are available online at the OMS PTA website.
Afterschool peer tutoring in the library is cancelled for 2/7, and 2/9.
The Committee on Multiculturalism presents the OMS 2012 Black History Month Poster contest. The theme is honoring African-American Trailblazers. Please see your Social Studies teacher for details about the contest. They have a list of people to choose from and the contest requirements. All entries are due by 2/10/12.
OMS Blue Ribbon t-shirts will be available for purchase during your lunch period this week.
Starting Monday, the Library staff will be running a food drive to restock the HACO food pantry at the High School. Bring non-perishable food to the Library and for each item, hang a snowflake!
If you haven't ordered one yet, now is the time to order your OMS Yearbook. Yearbooks must be ordered online through the school's website. Order yours today!
For the next month, we will be collecting supplies for the dogs at the Little Shelter Animal Shelter. Please bring in rawhide bones and plastic grocery bags for clean up. Drop boxes will be located by the Greeter's Desk, the Guidance Office and the Cafeteria. Please see Ms. McCaffrey with any questions!
This is a reminder to all students that the doors to OMS open at 7:20 am for the start of our early morning programs and extra help. Students arriving before that time will have to wait until 7:20 to enter OMS. Remember, you must be with a staff member while in the building before 8:15. For their own safety, students are not p ermitted to wait in any unsupervised areas including the halls and library before school begins.
